From Our Founder

“I have worked in the elder and death care profession for 13 years now. Some families and clients over the years have asked how did you get in this line of work and I believe everything and everyone who crosses our path happens for a reason. In January of 2007, my grandmother died. Four months later, my father who was only 53 years old, died.

“When you lose two very significant people who you love dearly, it changes you, I didn’t know what it meant. I just knew I never wanted a family to go through what I went through being inexperienced, not knowing what to expect, how my life had just changed in a moment so I started looking into careers where I could make a difference.

“In January of 2008, someone I knew my whole life called and said the company I work for has purchased some more cemeteries and I think you would be good at this. She had no idea that I had considered changing careers and I didn't think it would be working at a cemetery.

“I mean, you don’t grow up saying I want to work at a cemetery. I told her I need a couple of days to think about it. When I hung up, I felt this overwhelming peace come over me I still can’t explain it completely to this day. Needless to say, I called her back the next morning and said I would like to apply for the position.

“I started my career on January 28, 2008. I began learning all I could about the cemetery I was working at, helping families either before death or at the time of death, learning traditions that families hold dear to them, designing memorials, cremation memorials, and private estates.

“Within six months, I was promoted to the position of Family Service Manager. With the promotion, it meant I could implement even more programs, services, and community outreach.

I think few people find their true calling, but I am so blessed and thankful that I know I have found mine. It is to serve families along their journey of making their lives better rather through technology, organization, planning, and enjoying moments with loved ones.

When you work with me, I will work with you and your family to meet your needs and honor your life or loved one’s life.

“I will never pass judgment. I will listen to concerns and come up with solutions to make life a little easier.”
